I have always loved shanora's books, they have always gripped me from the first pages and kept me captivated until the end and this book is no different.
London has had a awful life, losing both her parents in a car crash when she was 8 all she has left is her older brother.
When her brother comes to see her graduate she couldn't be happier, especially when the hot guy who accompanies him Catches her eye, Ace is dangerous, but when the day after graduation she witnesses her brother being murdered she has no option but to trust him.
Now this story is nothing like any of shanora other stories, however it lacked the darkness I feel she was trying to achieve, it had so much potential to be all kinds of effed up but didn't quite get there. Now I'm not saying I hated the story because it was fab, the characters were great I loved Ace I loved London, I even loved Bianca, and the plot is very well developed, I never knew how it was going to end and I never saw how it did actually end coming, I must admit it floored me.
People are saying the ending disapointed them but actually I really thought it was well thought out and I loved it, I didn't feel anything was left unanswered, I do see potential for a second book if shanora wants too however it can be left as it is.
The reason this book is four stars for me is because for a book I thought was going to be dark it wasn't really. So it left me a little disapointed
But I'm sure it's going to be just an amazing success as her other series
