Jamie Grey grew up tossed around between foster homes. At an early age he shut the world out, deciding he wouldn’t care. Whatever life had to throw at him, he would look the other way. Now his senior year is about to start and he’s been forced into yet another new home. This will be the last time, he assures himself. When an unexpected curveball comes his way in the form of a certain stubborn seventeen year old girl, Jamie soon finds out that life doesn’t always work out the way you plan it.

Beckett Chase has been entitled her entire life. Living in the plush landscape of Palm Beach, Florida, she’s never wanted for anything. She’s always taken what and who she wants with no remorse. When she sets her sights on Jamie Grey and she’s met with rejection, her descent from the top begins.

With a twist of events causing Jamie and Beckett’s worlds to collide, will they be able to put aside their differences or will fate intervene offering an entirely different option?

Amanda's Review

Where do I start with this book?  Hmmm, lets start with Beckett.  Beckett is top notch bitch at her school, typical rich prep.  Until one night her world changes forever.  Her parents who always try to do good for anyone, have decided to foster a child.  At least that's what she thinks, she never expects Jamie Grey to walk into her life.  Hot Jamie who is going to be attending her school with her.
Jamie Grey, a child of the system, one who was passed around and around, the last home he was in was one where the woman was beat, and they were just fostering him for the check.  Now he is brought to the Chase family, as a favor to his social worker, he knows this is the last stop for him and he's only 9 months shy of being out of the system.  Nine months can't be that hard right? Well he wasn't expecting  Beckett either.
Beckett is attracted to Jamie and instantly regrets it, they both try to control themselves around each other.  They go to school and Beckett is a complete bitch to Jamie, and again he decides he hates her, until he runs into Samantha.  Whose Samantha?  Well she's his best friend from years back, he really expected her to be his sister until her dad died, and her mom put him back into the system.

One thing Beckett and Jamie have in common?  Stars, they both love the stars.  Is them coming together fate?  Has this been planned in the stars all along?  I just absolutely loved the story, its got catty bitches and annoying girls, but what high school doesn't?  Are you ready to find out what happens to Beckett?  Will she stay on top or will the world crumble at her feet just like a shooting star?

I give this book 5 shooting stars
