In The End - Blog Tour - Erika Ashby

About The Book
*Novella-Prequel to Moving Forward*

Jake Reynolds’ life had always been perfectly mapped out for him as he was growing up. The only time he ever felt like he had any control over it was when he was inside the cage—the same cage that held no for sure outcome. In his twisted mind being inside that ring with his opponent was the most freeing feeling. In that moment alone he was able to let his perfected guard down and be who he wanted to be.

From the outside looking in, everything about Jake’s life looked perfect, but he knew that he wasn’t. His whole life had been set up for him before he was even born, and even though it’s not the life he wanted, he continued living it.

When you have everything you could ever want at your fingertips, why screw it up?

That was his mindset until the night Jesika showed up at his fight. He knew she was different from the get-go. He also knew he didn’t deserve her, but that didn’t mean he didn’t want to try. Jake had skills inside and out of the cage and he was known to always get what he wanted no matter the risk. But was he willing to change who he had always been in order to keep the one that he thought was worth the fight? Will it all be worth it in the end?

Natalie's Review

This book, like the other two is fab, I loved the whole glimpse into Jake's life that we get, and it allows him to redeem himself and he doesn't quite seem the bastard we are all used to.

The story is written in both letter and printed format, we see Jake take us through how he met Jesika and also how he come to be the father of a child, after a one night stand.

I have done a complete 180 on Jake, when we read moving forward we are left with a bitter taste about him, and lots of questions were unanswered so I love that this novella was written, you should defo read Moving Forward and No Going Back First otherwise the whole book won't make much sense.

I love how in this book we get to see a insecure Jake, he falls apart before our eyes and because it's all of his own doing he has no one to blame for it but himself, what I loved though was that you actually felt his guilt and pain when reading, you also felt how intense his love for Jesika was and that he would do anything for her, and you experienced his anguish for his betrayal.

I think the story rounded off the whole series perfect and also sets up the next one which is Holden's story, I am such a massive fan of this Author and I love all of her books so far.

I give this book a massive 5 stars, it is a perfect end to a emotional story
