Jill Shalvis - It Had to be you

A fan of our page Sharon Cooper,  sent me through a review of a book that she read and i just thought i would post it here.

About The Book

Ali Winters is not having a good day. Her boyfriend left her, everyone in town thinks she's a thief, and now she's about to be kicked out of her home. Her only shot at keeping a roof over her head and clearing her name is to beg for help from a police detective who's as sexy as he is stern....

After a high-profile case goes wrong, Luke Hanover returns to his hometown for some peace and quiet. Instead he finds a bombshell brunette in a heap of trouble. As he helps Ali put her world back together, the pieces of Luke's own life finally seem to fall into place. Is this the start of a sizzling fling? Or are Luke and Ali on the brink of something big in a little town called Lucky Harbor?

Sharon's Review

Have you ever found a series that you enjoyed each new book? One that you had to have the next one? One of my top favorite is the Lucky Harbor Series by Jill Shalvis.
The current series has 7 full length books and 1 short e-story. There is no specific order the books need to be read in.

The stories are all about a place called Lucky Harbor. The first part of the series begins with 3 sisters who unite, after the passing of the their mother, to decide what they will do with the Bed and Breakfast she left for them. This is where the sisters find family, friendship and love and decide to stay in Lucky Harbor.

The books to follow tell the tale of the residents of Lucky Harbor. Some of the residents have never left, while other have left to only find their way back. You even have some altogether new residents. Each one of the stories is a heartwarming story of friendship, love, and there is always an Alpha male who makes you swoon. You can't forget about Lucille the elderly resident who enjoys updating all of Lucky Harbor residents with the coming and going on her Facebook Page.

The most recent addition to the Lucky Harbor Series is "It Had To Be You". This is Luke's Story. Luke is a Detective Lieutenant from San Francisco who has spent most of his life in and out of Lucky Harbor spending time with his grandmother. Luke is the kind of guy you want on your corner. He looks to take care of all the people around him.

Luke is still connected with Lucky Harbor since he now owns his late grandmother's home. Luke has come back to town to be alone and get away from the hectic job he left behind. The problem is he finds is he not alone. Luke finds Ali, his former tenant's ex-girlfriend/roommate. Luke will now have to decide if it is alone time he wants or does he want to help Ali who is now accused of stealing money from her ex-lover.

I loved how the story flowed. Each step of the way there was something to make it hard to put the book down. Luke and Ali are both great characters. Luke may be this rough and tough guy but his heart shows through. Ali is always happy and kind hearted.

Jill Shalvis doesn't disappoint! Enjoy a Lucky Harbor Book today!
