Driven by K Bromberg

Product Description

Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it…

I am the exception to the rule.

In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track.

Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline.

I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away?

Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?

Alicia's Review

This book is fabulous. Rylee is at an event she's organised to help raise funds for a cause close to her heart. There is an auction for the males to bid to date some hot females. Rylee hates the idea but knows it will bring money. She's making sure everything is ready to go without an hitch. Realising she's forgotten something in the back store closet so sets about collecting the missing items.

As she's walking down the corridor, she hears female and males moans. What she see's glues her to the spot. They are in an alcove making out. Realising she's got to walk straight past them to collect what she needs. She makes it past them without being seen.

As Rylee is in the closet the door shuts... trapping her inside. She's claustrophobic. The walls are closing in around her and she's frantically trying to get out.

The door opens to reveal the sexiest man she's ever seen. In her panicky state, Rylee falls into the mystery man and clutches onto him. Once her senses return things get a little heated... in the same alcove she saw the couple in not long before.

It takes her a little while to realise she's doing the same thing as the last girl, with the same man, in the same place. Not the best realisation for keeping you in the mood. She pushes mystery man away just as her friend and co-worker comes to see what is taking her so long.

She returns to the event and things run smoothly. Until her boss comes over to congratulate her on the success of the event. And to introduce her to someone... mystery man! Donavan.

After some banter and a lot of heat between these pair, a bet is made. Donavan will donate 20,000 if she can resist his charm and not end up on a date with him by the end of the night. Easy right?....

Things go from bad to worse when she realises some of the ladies in the auction won't be there. She has to take part. Bids rise to 25,000 when she's up for auction. She has a date.

Colton Donavan is HOT! He's not about to let any opportunity, to get a date with Rylee, to pass him by.

A couple of things we're very predictable in the book. Not predictable like we know the whole story, predictable in knowing what is happening before Rylee does. Sometimes I wanted to shout and scream and shake my ipad. Jesus Rylee, you can't be so stupid as to not know who/what is happening lol

Very easy to connect with the characters and feel the emotions K Bromberg has put into this book. Plenty of laugh out loud moments, teary moments and fun.

Just a heads up. There is a cliffhanger that will have you thinking 'Fu*k No! You can't leave it there and make me wait until the next book'. Good news, It won't be long before Fueled is released. 27th August we will get another fix of Colton Donavan.

Keep your eyes open for the cotton candy scene... I'll never look at cotton candy the same again but I certainly won't be coming back from the fair without some!! ;) lol

Excellent read. 4.5 Stars. I can't wait for book 2!!
