Beautifully Twisted
 Jennifer Domenico

Alexa Drake is at the top of her game. Heading up the London office for Patrick Collins Media, she’s done what it takes to get to the top and have the career and independence she’s always wanted. Her life in London is everything she’s worked hard to achieve, and she revels in her newfound control. If only she could forget the one man who brings her to her knees. Literally.

Scott Patrick is successful, commanding, and the kind of man women dream about. He’s also responsible for Alexa’s career success and her twisted view of love. Scott is a master at avoiding commitment and emotions and always thought of himself as the kind of guy who would never settle down. So why can’t he get Alexa out of his head?

When Scott suddenly turns up in London, Alexa has to decide if she can open herself up to the same man that broke her heart or if she’s ready to give someone new a chance.

Beautifully Twisted is an intense power struggle between two people who have a hard time being together but an even harder time staying apart.

Emma's Review:

This is the love story of Alexa and Scott. It isn't your typical 'lovey-dovey' love story but it is their love story and just like the title, it is a little twisted. There are plenty of hot sex scenes right from the beginning. While not always believable, they are still entertaining and even a turn on.

Both Alexa and Scott are successful, independent, strong and jealous people. They had a long affair when Alexa was being trained, in business and in the bedroom, by Scott to be his submissive. It continued until he sent her packing to head up the new London office for Patrick Collins Media. Alexa was none to pleased and has been bitter and angry towards him ever since.

And then out of the blue, Scott is back in her life, bringing with him his business partner and best friend, Brett. Brett has never met Alexa, even though he is also her boss. He also has no idea that Scott and Alexa's relationship was anything more than business and is intrigued with her from the moment they meet and asks her out to dinner. Alexa is ready to shove this in Scott's face but he isn't taking it and has her back to her submissiveness nature in next no time. Both Alexa and Scott are constantly doing and saying things just to spite the other. There is enough heat between all of these characters to start London burning again.

You are taken to Alexa and Scotty's past throughout the book in flashback scenes which help to know what they are feeling, thinking and why they are like they are.
The secondary characters in this story are well written and support Alexa and Scott perfectly. Martina, Alexa's assistant, is the girlfriend every girl wants and is super supportive of her boss (some great girl talks between them) and fast becoming friend.

Just when you think this story has itself sorted and on the right path, another twist happens. Thankfully, there is an ending that both Alexa, Scott and the supporting characters deserve.
This book is very different to Jennifer Domenico's 'Turn Towards the Sun' series and it certainly can stand on it's own two feet. If you enjoy your erotica and love to see and alpha male bring an alpha women to her knees, this book could just be for you.

“You know what this is about? This is the first time you've had to compete for my attention and you have no idea how to handle it. You’re so used to me being at your every beck and call.” She laughs. “You should just face the fact. I don’t belong to you anymore. You’re not the only man.”

Scott stands and paces the living room, running his hands over his head. She’s never seen him so agitated. Alexa is shocked to realize his angst over her is a complete turn on.

“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you? Driving me crazy like this,” he asks.

“Every second of it, actually.”
